Administrators on the SoylentNews wiki have the following abilities:
- (Un)protect pages
- (Un)delete pages
- (Un)block users
- View a list of unwatched pages
- Edit any MediaWiki system messages
- Edit protected pages
- Import pages from other wikis running MediaWiki
- Mark recent changes and new pages as "patrolled"
- Revert the most recent edit to a page with one click
- Add external links that are not whitelisted to pages without having to complete a CAPTCHA
- View deleted pages and revisions
